Have a never ending to-do list? Here’s how I’m facing mine

Sometimes finding balance in summer can be a challenge. While trying to balance mothering, cleaning, working, and oh, yes…sanity, I have found I need to revisit and reorganize my life….and my to-do list. It seems I always create great organizational lists with the best of intentions but then, alas, I never seem to manage to get to the crossing it off. In a moment of desperation, I remembered a book that I should reread about now to help me conquer my never ending to-do list and finally get my life organized.
The book, Eat That Frog by Brian Tracy, could change my life and get my tasks accomplished. The basic premise of this book is that each day you have one big task to conquer (eating a frog) …by doing this (the worst task of the day) first…after that, everything else will seem virtually simple. The metaphor of eating a frog is appropriate and makes me realize how easy it is to procrastinate on the most important task on my daily list. But once you eat that frog (or complete the dreaded task) everything else would be easy to swallow (so to speak).
So if you are like me this summer and can’t seem to get anything done…try taking a look at this book. I’m going to revisit it for my own sanity and maybe I’ll even accomplish some biggies on the endless list this summer.

Can you eat that frog first thing each day?
