It’s THAT time of year again when we are juggling multiple balls at the same time! I now understand how clowns do it! You throw up one ball (or task) and then another and hold your breath that they all don’t fall down! I am wondering if keeping multiple balls in the air truly compares to balancing multiple work related tasks, family members, and household chores at the same time. Oh yes…all that in the summer!

Here’s what we are balancing right now (read each one as a separate ball being tossed) just for PPB:

• Unpacking very cool, fun,  and colorful apparel and gifts for fall! (Love this part…opening boxes ordered SO long ago and discovering the fun items picked out)
• Training new employees to work at PPB and come up to speed quickly. (Phew, there is a lot to learn)
• Digesting CPSIA documents that have provided *some* exemptions for our vendors but we are trying to determine which of our suppliers will have to go out of business by Feb. if component testing & risk based assessment isn’t allowed
• Updating the website with our new products, removing old ones, and putting some on SALE!
• And everything else in the day to day operations of owning a business!

We are feverishly working to unpack boxes (Yea, fun!) for our new fall collections while simulataneously keeping up with the demands for children’s school backpacks, lunchboxes, and back to school outfits!

Now only if I didn’t just drop the balls every once in a while.. but that’s a different blog post!
